We have talked about Google’s Panda Update Again in previous article. In that article, we discuss how Google’s Panda has 20 updates. Since the first Panda algorithm was introduced on 24th February 2011, it has beaten many websites that have bad contents. A good Search Engine Optimization will not fight the Panda but walk side by side with it to create a great content to increase the engagement with blog or website visitors. So it can be said that Search Engine Optimization has adapted itself to 20 updates of Panda.

2 months before 2013 (New Year), Search Engine Optimization can not let down its defense because in November, Panda has been updated again. It is not only once but twice. The updates happen on:

  • 5th November 2012 is said as 21st update (1.1% of English-language queries in US; 0.4% worldwide; confirmed, not announced)
  • 21st November 2012 is said as 22nd update (0.8% of English queries were affected; confirmed, not announced)

After these two new updates, some of people that work in Search Engine Optimization decide to take a break because Google has already promised last year that there would be no update of Panda algorithm until after holiday. It can be said we can have a wonderful holiday. But this year is different, because Google really knows how to give a surprise. The new update of Panda’s algorithm is introduced 4 days before Christmas, on 21st December 2012. This 23rd update is Google’s early Christmas gift for Search Engine Optimization that is given via Twitter. It impacts 1.3% of English queries. For this New Year (2013), do not be surprises if Google has already planned to give more gifts.
