It was not long after DGtraffic’s Fantasix Dinner Party with Kasih Mandiri Bersinar Foundation’s children; DGtraffic had decided to hold a CSR. For this CSR, we wanted something that was out of our comfort zone. In previous CSR, we chose some private orphanages like Kasih Mandiri Bersinar Foundation, Heesu foundation “Cahaya Cinta”, Yayasan Berkat Kasih Immanuel or Talitha Cumi “Mama Sayang”. However for this time, we chose an orphanage and a nursing home care under auspices of DKI government. Before, we had never visited a nursing home care, so it would be our new CSR milestone.
Panti Sosial Asuhan Anak Balita Tunas Bangsa
For orphanage, we chose Panti Sosial Asuhan Anak Balita Tunas Bangsa. Panti Sosial Asuhan Anak Balita Tunas Bangsa is a place that provides food, clothes, shelter, education and medical care for children who are abandoned by family or children that do not have family anymore. Not only children, this place also accepts babies. However, visitors can not touch or hold them. There is a regulation that visitors must not touch the babies so the babies will not get sick easily.
We decided to visit the orphanage in morning because some of them needed to take an afternoon nap. It was too bad that we only could play very simple games with the children because most of them were under 5 year olds. However, it was good that the children had so much fun. Well, the main point for this visit was to make the children happy. Besides giving our time, we also had provided donation like milk, soap and other children’s needs.
Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Budi Mulya 1
There is a nursing home care, Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Budi Mulya 1 beside the orphanage. Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Budi Mulya 1 is a place to accommodate elderly who are abandoned by their children or elderly that do not have family anymore. So, we though the nursing home care would be the right choice for our CSR.
After the orphanage, we went to the nursing home care. In the nursing home care, we met very wonderful Grandpa and Grandma. We played, danced and sang together.
After the session, we gave our donation and toured around the nursing home care. We saw some of their works like doormat, ornament and others. Of course some of us brought them because those things were beautiful.
Hope next year, we can visit them and bring smile on their faces again.
